FSD Africa, September 2016
Written for FSD Africa, this case is part of a series of studies exploring “market facilitation in action” from across the FSD Network in Africa. This case study focuses on the informal savings group work of FSD Kenya. It concludes that whilst FSD Kenya has not been able to achieve the level of critical mass in the savings group system that it had anticipated, it has been demonstrably influential in changing thinking and practice through analysis, innovation and the way in which it worked.
