Training has underpinned our work since we were established and is the activity that connects all our work. Training is where the learning from research, implementation and advisory work finds a coherent and useful form, relevant to others trying to make sense of complex development challenges.

Our biannual Making Markets Work Training Programme focuses on how to make development more effective, achieving greater impact, inclusiveness, scale and sustainability. We have trained over 2,000 people from more than 100 countries to date.

On a highly selective basis, we also offer bespoke training courses on specific aspects the market systems development approach, including monitoring and evaluation.

NEW COURSE: MSD - a funder/manager perspective

A one-week MSD training programme in Tirana, Albania, providing participants with an understanding of the key elements of the approach, illustrations of its application in practice, and implications for programme funding, management and oversight.

Qualitative Research Methods

The field of market systems development is built on interviews, focus groups and field trips – but few of us have ever been taught how to use qualitative research methods well, yet alone how to analyse the results. This course aims to address just that.

Our next MMW Programme

Our next Making Markets Work Programme will be held in Bangkok in 2022.

EXACT DATES WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON.
