As you might know from our previous ABC post, here at Springfield, we’re big on Knowledge Sharing. So we’re excited to bring you news of a new MSD toolbox, developed by The BEAM Exchange.
A number of MSD practitioners, including The Springfield Centre, contributed tools in late 2021 to build a Market Systems Development Tool Library and toolbox library is now live on the BEAM Exchange’s website.
With almost 200 tools now available, do you think we can put to bed the critique that a lack of capacity – or tools, more specifically – is what keeps MSD programmes from being commissioned and implemented well? For those who do feel capacity gaps continue to be a major blocker to delivering sustainable results at scale, you’ll be pleased to see the results of the USAID-funded Market Systems and Partnerships has collated hundreds of tools shared by implementing and funding organisations, that are easily searchable by tool type, programme area/life cycle, and technical theme.
For those that lie more on the incentive end of the spectrum, a call to action, perhaps, to also share resources or insights how to incentivise funders and implementers to become more intentional in their quests for sustainable development at scale?
