The Springfield Centre and Samarth-NMDP, February 2014

This paper provides a critical practitioner insight into how a large, multi-sector market systems development programme in Nepal – Samarth-NMDP – uses different tools and processes to support its projects to deal with the ‘messy’ reality of intervening in market systems to change player behaviours and practices. It includes case examples of the tools and processes in operation during the first 18 months of the programme and an annex with detailed information and templates for other practitioners to read and ‘adopt’ themselves.
